Hi All, nice to meet you.
My dad gave me his 85 K100 this summer that he's owned since I believe 87. Lots of memories on this bike together, motocamping and a few BMW rallys. I always thought this bike was the coolest thing around since I was a kid and still like looking at in my garage now. The bike hadn't run since about 2007 but was garaged since since then. I've been working on it for about a month. After a bit of work, mainly a new fuel pump / filter change, injector cleaning, and sparkplugs, she fired up on the second hit of the button , I was impressed. I'm now working on "the rest" of the items.
Plan is to keep it stock, just give it the love it deserves and get the maintenance up to date and then register it here in Alberta next summer. And eventually get my toddler motocamping to keep the cycle going.
I've been searching and reading this forum pretty heavily over the past month and what a great resource! I finally came across an issue that I needed to register and ask a question for.
Thanks for having me and thanks for all the help.
