Hi all ,

I am glad to find such a well organized and suportive K comunity. I was looking for a K bike project for a while now and a couple weeks ago I found a '88 K100 . Barn find. 38000 km , 98 % complete bike, with some lil' frame and fairing damage. This spring , I plan to restore the bike to a fair condition . The stock fairing will be exchanged w a modified pichler fairing, a new frame is on the way, fresh paint all around etc etc . I will try not to bother any of you with stupid questions , usually I do my homework and dig before I ask questions.
Thank you for all the effort and time invested in this forum.

I'm located in Europe, Romania, Cluj-Napoca ( Klausenburg ) .

Hi aquachrono. Ask away with your questions. Many of us are finding the days long during the winter and like nothing better than a good K puzzle. Don't forget that you can download a workshop manual in the 'Downloads' section.
Sounds like a good find. 38K is hardly run in and I know a few will be envious of your pichler fairing. You had better post a few photos when you get it together.

Welcome from the land of all-year-round riding!

We love stupid questions (we were all there a one stage) and please can we have before, during and after pics. Nothing I like more than seeing a barn (we call them sheds here in the land of all-year-round riding) find and the owner bringing it back to life.

Well, it's fine and 20 degrees C outside, so I'm going for a ride. Laughing

Thank you all for the kind words and warm welcome.
I will try to contribute as much as I can . I like to belive that I am a decent DIY-er. Never vorked on bikes till now, but I have/had worked and restored a few cars, most of them bimmers so I think this bike will not be a difficult project. Thanks again.

Question Question It seems that Australia got rain and flooding for the last month, and now you are bracing for Cyclone Yasi with wind up to 300km and 700mm of rain expected. new here :) 178468

It's like me saying I am going for a ride when the forecast is 2 feet of snow, temperature down to -15c. and wind gusting at 100km.

Good luck!

Welcome aquachrono from parts of Australia where it's not blown away, flooded or burning.
38 deg C the last 2 days, and still the RT didn't need to have the fan on.
Er, maybe it's busted. Better check that.
