Can someone help with instructions on how to install a luftmeister anti dive kit? Pic attached. It has a set of springs, black bumpers?, billeted caps?, screws and washers.

I fitted one of Matt Capri's anti-dive kits in an Airhead back in the late '80s. It took heaps of time trying to clean out the black rubber 'bumpers' which got pounded into rubber silt in a short time - installed per the instructions given to me by him at the York PA MO rally. I'd steer clear from that answer looking for a question. Luftbluster had some ideas that weren't fully thought through.

It's not even an anti-dive kit. It just stiffens up the suspension preload. You're far better spending the dollar equivalent of approx £100 and buying some stiffer front springs. That works a treat - BTDT on two bikes. Put a new shock on the rear and you'll swear someone stole your bike then gave you back a new one with the same scratches in the paintwork.

I installed new progressive springs and rear suspension, heavy fork oil, and longer pvc spacers and I still get a lot of dive when I hit the brakes. Stiffening the rear helped a bit. The longer pvc spacers on top of the springs just made the ride height higher.

So does this kit install on the bottom? Do you need to take the entire fork off? Where does the screw go?

I got rid of most of the brake dive as well as making the ride less harsh on the crap roads of New York State by installing Race Tech Gold Valve Emulators and fork springs.

Not cheap, about $290 on eBay, but my K75RT rides so much better.
