Matt you never answer your phone or return calls.  We had an interesting start due to delays in repairing a certain Kronies Brick. Went the usual route up to Bellthorpe then off to Maleny for lunch had a really good ride and enjoyed by all.

Enjoyable ride yesterday led by Bruce. No adventures other than an attempted strike by an angry carpet snake at Martin and myself just out of Dayboro. The Salty Sea Dog had made it angry.

Had the opportunity to road test several puncture repair kits after noticing a ?safety pin? sticking out of my rear tyre. After pulling it out, heard the dreaded hiss.

My kit "Rema Tip Top Rep&Air" dissappointed as plugs had softened and tore on application and the glue had 'gone off'......only 18yrs old (purchased when I got the bike in 2004)..who would have thunk?

Bruces kit - "Cargol Turn and Go", a very quick and simple 'snap off' threaded plastic ?screw? failed to hold the seal. To be fair I had already reamed the hole when attempting to use my kit, which is not required with the Cargol kit, which probably led to the failure

Martins Kit - "Motorpressor puncture repair kit" https://www.rockycreekdesigns.com/products/motopressor-puncture-repair-tool with sticky strings did the trick. Pressure held for approx 200k ride, still good this morning

So off to the shops.

I have a relatively new Slime Tire Tackle(R) kit.  

Mick, next time we ride together can you remind me to bring it along?  I just want to see if it works as advertised 

My first flat in 18yrs....given the snake missed, I am expecting at least 2 more instances of bad luck to hit the requisite 3.

A great day was had by all.  I certainly learnt how to fix a flat tyre . . hopefully I won't have to put it into practice any time soon.    Thanks Martin, SSD and Mick.
