I have recently acquired a K100 and either a K1100 or K1200 engine, both as a box of parts, from the garage of a recently widowed friend.   I'd like to rebuild them and may need some advice.

Thank you for the welcome.
I hate to see anything thrown away, although I don't think my heirs will thank me when they open my workshop doors.

Thanks for mentioning that.  I have read about it in places a few times, but I have never done the conversion.

In view of the state of the K1100 bores, perhaps this is my opportunity.

I have a good block and regrouped crank here for an engine I'll never rebuild. Yours fot very small money plus shipping if it's of interest.

Thank you for that Kind offer of a block.  I must examine the pistons to see if / how much they have suffered.

Should "regrouped crank" read REGROUND ?
