Hi all Aussies and anyone else who is interested.
It falls to me to gauge interest in a trip, dates to be confirmed but mid October for a stay at Aussie Hotel Young and a day trip to Temora to watch the spectacular Air Show.

I am just after potential numbers here as bookings are crazy mad for these shows. I will book the Australia Hotel for around 10 guests for that weekend, it would have to be a two nighter in Young, Friday/Sat as the whole area gets booked out, and rehydration will be necessary after a dry day sitting in the open.

On that, facilities are a bit sparse at the Airport, it is a bring your own camp chair affair, we can manage to scrape a few up and deliver to the airport, I'll be running a supply line from Young. There are food stalls there (German Sausages last time I went. God knows who would eat them) and coffee. Not sure if Beers are allowed but we can organise a supply, bearing in mind the toilets are a good walk from the runway.
The Show runs for 2 days but the Saturday show seems to cover everything.

Could you please let me know if you are interested, I will post correct dates and ticket costs, I would have to get numbers and prepurchase them pretty soon.

No Tom, Temora pubs are off my list. At least that one is.
I will try for a pub there but expect it to be all prebooked.
You could always camp near the airfield but that is an organised area, and the ground is very hard.

Bob.... I'm kinda half committed to Philip Island this year and a bit of a run down GOR then back home via the Grampians.
But this may change as we get closer to October. Could you book a bed for me and I can confirm maybe in August? If it doesn't pan out, no probs.

No problems everyone, this is a non starter now, but we might try and get it up for next year, usually in Feb if there are no other rides around. I heard there is a new Warbirds museum opening up somewhere in the Hunter, might be mor convenient. I will check out 
the story.

No didn't mean that, I meant I am lazy about it anyway so we will call it quits this year and look forward to catching up on the Northern/Southern/Western ride.
