Hey all! First post here, bear with me.
I’m rebuilding my K100RS -84 and currently working on swapping the wheels.
I wanted to swap the originals for K1200 wheels, but they are really hard to get hold of. So I managed to get myself a set of R1100S wheels for a good price.
Now to my problem. The original rear brake disc is 285mm in diameter, and the R1100 have a 276mm disc, which means that the calliper will have 9mm less disc surface to grip.
Will this be an issue? By just looking at it it doesn’t feel like it’s going to be. But wanted to make sure and check with you guys and see what you think. To make it work I will have to add some calliper spacers as well since it’s a different offset on the R1100S wheel.
I’ve searched a lot regarding this issue, but I can’t find any relevant information regarding the R1100S wheel which has the disc mounted on the wheel.
Thanks in advance!
