Hi all,

My K100 got an ignition switch and keys are... in a very bad shape.

I'm trying to find a ignition key replacement part.
I saw the actual connector use 4 wires.

Is anyone have found a compatible piece for your "builds" ?
I saw some basical ignition keys with 4 wires too but don't know if it's going to work..

Those aftermarket ignition switches will not work. BMW seem to have used a switching configuration that is unique to them. What you can do is to use an aftermarket switch and:

- connect red to red
- green to green
- cut off the black and black-white wires on the new switch
- link the slate and slate/blue wires together on the original loom (slate = grey. It is called 'slate' so that on a wiring diagram it shows up as S, rather than G or Gr which can cause confusion with green).

What this will mean is that the pilot light and tail lights will be permanently on when you turn on the ignition, but as you are in France, I can't see that being a problem.

So I can just get an aftermarket switch with 2 wires. I'm just checking what model can be a minimal waterproof.

Indeed if I got the lights permanently on, in France it's not a problem, more like an obligation today :p

Hum it's my ignition switch. I have to use black and red on ignition, to green and red on original cable

That's Honda colour codes. Normally those aftermarket switches use Suzuki colour codes. I think you got unlucky
