I am a retired accountant with a son who has decided to buy a R100 which he intends turning into a cafe racer and that dad needs a K100. I drove a Honda 550 Four some many moons ago as well as a Suzuki 175PE. So after years of civil transport I am drawn into this unknown world of BMW. My hope is that the experience will be sweetened by all your assistance and input. At first glance it seems that spares are not readily available in South Africa for this 1986 K100. At least I have the Clymer manual.
