I know its been asked and answered, but I do not have enough forum savvy to understand the answers a search gave me, so I'll put on my fire retardant suit, and give it a shot:
I have never used any kind of photo service... just right click, copy and paste to enter on a non bike forum, or load a photo from the computer I'm on. (work computer, Windows,  chrome or firefox) if I have it saved in a folder. but do not see a way to do either here. It did let me paste a picture on a private message, but I get "message too large" if I paste an even smaller version to a post.
Is there a way to do either, that I am not seeing?

This forum does not support direct upload of picture. Yes, there's a menu option to 'insert image' but, as you've found, anything but the tiniest (like icon size) fails.

The only option is to link to an image hosted elsewhere, e.g. Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Photobucket, Flickr etc.

G'Day Dan,

In the "Post a reply" message screen, on the top row of menu icons you will see a 'You Tube' Icon. Go to the left to the first icon of 5 in that box. Hover on it and it will say 'host an image'. Ignore the 'insert image' icon to its right.

Click this, a pop up box will appear with a 'select files +' button. Click this. Your computers file manager or similar will appear. Select the pic you want and double click. Select 'send all'  or click the upload icon next to your image in the pop up window.

A new box will appear with a preview of your picture and 3 options to the right - 'open image' - you dont want this. 'insert the image in the editor' and 'insert the thumbnail in the editor'. Select which one you want and click 'send all'. It should appear in your message body.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. Just the right level of tech!
I did find I could copy and paste if I made the image small enough...

But get that message when I click on the button that would go where I want.
It may be the company computers fault Embarassed  It wont let me view hardy any pictures or links on the forum, so I use my I phone for that: but the small screen is annoying.

(some information redacted to protect the not so innocent)

Bugger!

Well you've posted an image...just not the one you want, and when I click on it if fails to open.

That's the extent of my knowledge, I am afraid. Perhaps something on your works computer/server is preventing upload/connection to the webimg site or the picture is just too big.

Also try the small upload icon directly to the right of the listed image file rather than the 'send all' button.

Dunno....Sorry

It's good to know I'm not the only Luddite.

I click on the icon Mick mentions, rather than hover on it.

Then I click the select files tab then select the pic I want.
Then click select all tab. Then three options pop up, pick the middle one by clicking on the icon that looks like two black thought bubbles, you might have to zoom in on it, it should be a blue bar, not just a blue line.

Wait a minute while it loads then press the send button at the bottom right. Forum Luddite, and pictures 0171114

I don't think much of your low seat conversion, it looks uncomfortable. Forum Luddite, and pictures 652573

It's feels almost as naked as bareback horse riding, it only gets occasional short rides, which is OK for a  Luddite too.

Nup. You'll be surprised how easy it is, I'll admit it's a good hoony feel of a ride, give it a go. It's a wider handlebar, so lower and wider feels good.

I don't think my knees would take that low seat option and there is not enough padding on my backside.

I thought I'd be sore that day after that 1/4 hour ride but wasn't, you'll be right, give it a go.

Maybe cheat and sit on a towel.

The kneebend is the main reason I hate riding Maries R1150R. We had an R1100R and it was fine. Thankfully I never have to ride the thing.
