New to the forum but have owned a 'brick' since December 1985. First, a Alaska Blue K100RS purchased new. After !3 years and 205,000 km, it was sent to god by a red light running Volvo.
In January 1999, I purchased a used Pearl White 1992 K100RS(16v) with 19,000 km on the clock. It is now showing nearly 395,000 km. As I've never owned a car, the 'bricks' have been my primary vehicle.

Having joined the BMWMCC(Vic.) in 1996, I am honoured to be a life member.

I am also a Motorcycle Instructor with Stay Upright, training and testing learner and licence students.

Welcome Karl,

I'm sure you'll have some valuable tips for the forum. I never even rode a BM until about five years ago, still haven't even ridden a boxer.

Enjoy the ride.

Welcome! My 16valve K100RS has been my favorite bike since I got my first one 6 years ago.

How have the exhaust headers held up on your bike? Hope you will share some tips on keeping a brick running for so long.

Another Aussie welkome, this time from the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.

This forum will be very appreciative of having someone with your experience within the ranks. Keep a lookout for opportunities to catch up with any of us in person on the roads of this great land.

Cheers

My - cracked - OE exhaust system is hanging in my garage. I replaced it with a Staintune full system at 38, 516 km.. The primary reason for replacement being a better sound.
