Somebody just asked me to reset a password, but I cannot find the username that he gave me in the list of users.
He was reporting an abuse to try to reach the admin...
When asking for a password reset please give as much information as you can.
Give what you remember like your username and/or Email address that you used to register on the forum, then I will do my best to help you.
BTW, the username that he gave me was Rowdy16v.

I believe that's a user not remembering his username and password.
Hopefully he will read this post and at least give me his Email address.

Hi Dear. Sorry be writing here but I am not very good finding out how forum works. I registered some time ago and I did not know anything about the K100-Forum. A member is asking me to change my name because is very similar to his name. Can you help me and tell me how to do it?
Appreciated. JR

Ah it's a case of spot the difference. There is JR-K100RS and also JR_K100RS. It's a bit like whiskey and whisky. They sound the same, they almost look the same but by gum there's a difference to be reckoned with.

Olaf, you need to keep an eye on the details. You wouldn't want to mix up these two, and that's little more than a hyphen...of sorts...

was thinking its more like.......the difference between etymology and entomology is a matter of whether the fly is in the ointment or not.

I think Father Ted is needed here.

I know my password, I know my username, it's the way I typed my own name incorrectly.
It's only got 3 letters, how bloody hard can it be???????????

Here's the weird question, can I get my username corrected to say "Leo" instead of "Loe"?

Damn, 3 letters, I guess I could have typed Ole.
I went to school, I swear I did!

I've been building and fixing computers for over 30 years but still can't type unless I look at the keyboard, EVER....I have a background in electronics and IT (along with many others) and still can't type.

I can type without looking but I just don't trust the force so I make a point of watching the keyboard and as such I don't pick up on my errors when typing (because I never make mistakes, much, lol).

I'm not sure on the forum software, I'll ask my son when he gets up, he programs and is familiar with most of the forum software types out there, I'll ask him if the username can be changed (of course he can't do it on here for me).

Weird thing, I used to moderate a forum with over 3,000,000 members world wide and ended up as Admin about 6 months before the forum disappeared one day and I don't remember much at all about the AdminCP stuff.

It's called efficient brain activity, rapidly forgetting that which I no longer need (sadly I've seen this written in an university study).

Hmmm, tricky. Do you mean “Leo”, or something else?

I guess I could go for Ole just to show what an idiot I am when it comes to keyboards and me interacting.
My name is however Leo and that was what I originally intended on typing.
I got a PM from a kind member telling me how to change it. I'll wait till my son is out of bed so I don't mess it up again.....

Done, it was so easy even a fool could do it and a fool just did, me.
Thank you Laitch !
