The stock bar on my K100RS is actually bent a bit, so I've been meaning to replace it anyway.
When I got the bike, I got a nice barback that gives me 2" additional rise and 1.5" reach. To get that "sweet spot" "mid-sporty" seating position for my 6' body I feel like I need just another 2." (OK...maybe 3"...I forgot the right side bar is actually already bent back an additional inch )
K-RT bars would clearly be too much. I think the "C" bars would work on their own but they seem scarce at the moment. Has anybody used either the Flanders B21 (/5 /6 style), or A22 bars on an RS? They seem the closest to the K "C"-style bars, but I'm a little worried about the extra width from a control cable standpoint. Honestly I'm kinda gangly so the extra couple inches of width may actually be better for me ergonomically...not accounting for what that might do to my mirror view, of course. )
Side Road Cycles seems to have a good assortment of the bars and their website has good info, for quick reference:
