I have not been very active over the last few years and today when I logged on I see "New Mail Waiting" but I can't seem to access it through my mailbox menu. What have I forgotten?

Click on the "New Mail Waiting" tab then on the new mail which will be at the top of the list of mail in the inbox

I am using Firefox, and that message in red has been there for about a month that I know of.  I have no new messages.

My mail boxes show 100% full.  I deleted several messages and the notification is no longer there.
