I'm 24 years and new to the motor bike scene but have all of my days been interested in motor cycles and mechanics in general. As a consequence of that, 3 years ago, I went on a motorcycle trip in Viet Nam where I, together with a friend, went from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi on bought bikes. Around two years ago, Inspired by my trip to Viet Nam I decided to save (or doom) an old K 100 RT from 85. The bike had it's own will to which days it would start and which days it would not start (and was in a pretty bad cosmetic shape). In the sellers eyes this was a Big Money Waste (BMW).
I might not be popular to someone to admit that my plan is to make this k 100 into a scrambler/tracker/café racer, but this is what I intend to do. I'm currently aquiring the motorcycle drivers licence in Denmark (you have to be 24, or have had experience with drivers licence to drive motor cycles above 47.5 HP).
I really look forward to share experiences of my build with poeple in this forum, to gain knowledge of different problematics others have had to their builds, and in general to learn more about the K100.
