Dear friends,
My name is Stavros, I am 49 years old and I ride almost daily for the last 16 years a 1989 red marrakesh K75S. I bought her with 53.000km and since then I have added another 140.000km on the clock, (196.000km in total). Before that I had a 1979 R65 which I still miss badly...Longest non stop trip with the "K", Athens - Lisbon, 3.600km in a weekend and a couple of weeks later all the way back...glory days! I tried to keep her in stock although years ago I replaced the bikini fairing with the naked version headlight, instrument cluster and the RT high rise bars for an easier ride around the city. I kept all the original parts so that I can turn back to the original set up when I'll get a second bike. So far I fried a hall sensor, I replaced a couple of shafts (my riding is a bit aggressive at times), I fixed a couple of times the alternator, and the same goes to the ignition switch. The rest has been regular maintence. In general I have been extremely happy with the bike. In another section of the Forum I will soon ask your help for some silly little problems.
Thank you for your hospitality.
