In preparation for Kedada Alicante I had to swap Rads. MY K11LT one had developed a hole in the matrix. Luckily I had one complete with working fan from the K1100rs already out on the shelf.

After swapping Rads complete with fan the Newly installed one does not kick in any where near as early as the previous unit. It doesn't cut in until temp is in the high red. The previous unit cut in almost too early at the halfway mark. (Same gauge)

Am I missing a trick?

The gauge seems fickle. Smile If the connector of the replacement fan was clean and in good shape when connected, the simplest course for me would be to remove the thermostat to verify that it's opening at the correct temperature.

Replaced the thermostat with the old from the leaky Rad after testing them.
