I have managed to get hold of a K1100 Komfort seat for my K75. Due to the fact that I want to be able to quickly change seat between the three seats that I own. A John Moorhouse shaved nose a Jo Motobrick cell foam lowered by a mate and the K1100 Komfort. I am now in the process of making new hinges and seat locking pin mounts. Due to the fact all that I could find about K1100 seat mounts was that they are virtually the same but incorporate rubber block spacers. I have managed to cobble up enough hinges to fit all three seats with slight modifications.

The rubberized seat locking pin mounts are going to be done today I made a mold from my OEM one which should be available for finishing today. It will be cast in aluminium and machined out and filled with a rubber door stop. I have already made one using flat bar a piece of pipe and a large flat washer which was filled with insertion rubber discs. I'll post pictures today when finished.
Regards Martin.

The seat locking post mounts turned out great, after a bit of a clean up. I have drilled and tapped one to take the locking post and will mount it on two thicknesses of 2.5mm insertion rubber. The second one I have machined the back out and will fit it with a machined down door stop. Machining rubber is slow going, try to take too big a bite and it grabs. Once both are done I'll do a comparison between the OEM the solid and the rubberised one. I've still got the posts to slot and slot the holes and work out how to mount the nut in the rubber.
Regards Martin.

Thanks K75cster. I ended up putting the machined down door stop in both seat locks. I tried a couple of ways to mount the nuts and ended up hot gluing a couple of home made nuts into the back. I made up the final missing hinge which was a pain, a lot of bends. It's been painted and I'll mount it tomorrow and take some pictures. I might cast up a couple of spares. All in all happy with the result.
Regards Martin.

Thanks Dai. The last hinge was a pain in the nether regions. Too many twists and bends close together, turned not as pretty as the others but functional.  I was going to redo it at a later date but seeing as though it does work I might resort to a bit of filler and a repaint at a later date. I do however have access to a Blacksmith/Sword Smith, so I might redo at a later date after getting a few clues on how to do the really tight bends. I also did a repair job on a mates early rear hinge that was missing the top half. So all up I ended up making a complete set for the 1100 set one rear hinge for my 75 seat two post locks and three locking pins and half an early rear hinge. All finished woo hoo for the moment.
Regards Martin.

Good work. The one you made for me fits perfectly. I can now change from sports to comfort seat without having to change the hinge in a few minutes ...You beaut!!

A long way to catch up to your 3 seats....I thought I saw 4!!

Cheers and thanks again for all your help.

Have to get on to Matt to organise a ride when he gets back.

Cheers

Mick
