thanks Rick,

I did go over a few lists that people had compiled and found most were external pumps

the old girl sat for to long and got the dreaded damper melt down , takes ages to clean that out ! dumb mistake that i wont do again,  live and learn,
now check injector s and get battery and hopefully back on the road,
Melbourne freeway ( carparks )  are doing my head in !

Hi Patto

Are any extra holes required for the tow bar,  or what's involved to attach it?  I've got a pump if your interested in a swap.  Pm for my number or pm me yours if your interested.

Regards David

I have tow bar for both my K1100LT and my 84 K100RT.

No hole drilling required, they bolt on. A K100LT is most likely bolted to footrest hangers and with stabilisers to the Z carrier mount points. Some use a J bar bolted to the stand assembly and again stabilisers but the J bar is generally used for the paralever as in 16v Ks.

Not a lot of work to attach them. Biggest part is figuring it out due to absence of  any instructions.

The K100 2v footplate hangers are hard mounted.

So too are K100 4v BUT they have Paralever rear and the size is different so 2v tow bar does not fit.

I am almost certain toot hat tow bar for early 2v may not fit later v. Will Crean [88 here] may be able to comment on that as he was using my early 2v one to sort on for his 88 K100LT.

The K1100 ABS2 the whole footplate assembly mounts on the 4 battery location threads on top of the transmission and cannot take a tow bar. It must be be mounted elsewhere and the J bar under the stand assembly is the best place for that to avoid handling issues.
