Hello all. I recently purchased a 1985 K100. I'm so happy that this forum exists. I plan on using it extensively. Praise the internet    The guy I bought it from said he was selling it for a buddy from Tennessee, who purchased it while in Germany. He didn't give me a clear answer to why the bike ended up in California. Never the less I ignored it due to its low mileage of 20k and the overall looks of the machine. My desire to one day get my hands on this machine overcame me and I went for it. I figured the price was a great deal and I knew it would be a passion project. 

Thanks to the wonderful power of the internet, I found the great and powerful BMW VIN Decoder. Lo and behold I find that it is, in fact, a USA model. Wish me luck!
