What broke exactly? An Allen head bolt? If so, can you not just replace the broken bolt?

I can't even picture what you mean. BTW can you update your profile with year and model? It will help us know what advice to give. If you can post a pic of the broken 'screw' (tho I suspect it is a bolt) it would help.

No weld. Replace with new or used.

something like this....I agree do not weld...would be disappointing to have the weld come undone at speed.

It's almost certainly broken off the threaded portion at the step.

I'd drill and tap the end 8mm and fit an 8mm stud........but first I would take the easy option and look for a used one on e-bay.

I recently bought a top yoke complete with the handlebar clamps for £8, 'buy it now' price.

Paul.

If I recall correctly it was ReneZ who broke this screw.

Check this one for $26.25

There are few triple tees for sale in the UK. If you contact the seller he may have the screw and sell it to you.

Klompy, the picture in your signature was my avatar few years ago. Very Happy

Just thinking about it darren, the handlebars probably weren't loose. They are rubber mounted.

May need new rubbers?

Paul.

Is the bike an RS or RT. I have some risers here. I believe the bottom bolt is what you broke. I have 2 different styles here. If you send a pick of broken one I am sure I have it. I also used washers on my K100 to tighten up the rubber mount.
