Was wondering if anyone had any tips on removing the center stand without removing the entire stand bracket as I still want to keep the side stand.

I can see from the OEM parts manual that two countersunk head screws go on each side of the center stand which allows it to swivel: https://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/1990-bmw-k75/o/m80#sch344649

Has anyone been able to remove these without stripping them?
Is the best way just to drill these screws out since I want the center stand off permanently?

The centre stand has two bushes at the pivots and they are bolted.

When I was checking I was told they are Loctited on  so you need to give them some heat and its easy to chew them up. But you can remove the stand alone and leave the rest and keep the side stand.

Actually they're a complete PITA to remove. You'll need to drop the entire assembly, scrub all of the grease off and then show the pivots to a blowtotch torch to get them hot enough to crack the Loctite and the corrosion in there.

Bit worried now, I dropped the whole thing off, undid the centre stand bolts, then put the bracket with the side stand back on. Took 10 minutes. Have I done something wrong or have I just been really lucky?

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Which is why some of us decide to put on the K1100 assembly complete........I already have one for the 'new' RS. I have a rebuild kit for the K100 but as Dai says its a pain in the you know what.
