Hi, and thanks for accepting me to your forum.

First off, im not a BMW owner myself but im here to get some info to help a mate out who is having some dramas with his bike.

I have a couple bikes of my own, a 2009 Suzuki DRZ 400E and
A Kawasaki 1993 ZZR 1100 that has been naked converted, the ZZR is currently for sale if anyone is interested.

The bike in question is a

03/1987 K100RT, apparently its an ex police bike but im not 100% sure.

Im after some assistance in working out what is wrong with the clutch, as it seems to be seized. Ill post again in the appropriate area of the forum.

Thanks again,

Chris

WelKome!

Doesn't really matter if it's police or civvy.  Police bikes just had slightly different bodywork and more lights.

Hi Chris's,  welcome

I'm guessing he just brought the bike and the previous owner hasn't used it for years, and the plate is stuck. Ride and accelerate with the clutch lever in until it frees. Or while on stand, put in first and leave lever in,  go 2000rpm and apply both brakes hard.

Welcome!  But be careful, after working on your mates bike, you will need one of your own.
