1 Fuel Tank Return Line Tue Apr 30, 2019 5:11 am

The other week when I replaced my throttle cable I had to slide my tank back. Last week I checked my mixture with the starter button and it was running rich. I pretty well knew from previous experience that the return line had kinked slightly on replacing the tank. I removed the tank and sure enough the Unicoil that I had fitted to stop it collapsing had slid down. I have a barbed connector in line that allows me to just replace the kinked section. When refitting the tank it is easy to displace the Uncoil or crimp the line. I decided to find a easier way to fit the tank and avoid the crimping problem. I ended up running the line under the steering head bracing and then looping it back inside the fairing. To stop the Unicoil from sliding down I fitted another hose clip under the Unicoil. I nearly bit the bullet and bought a OEM one. I rang M&W to check the price and availability $63.00 AU and four weeks from the Fatherland. I think the problem is now been solved permanently with the changes so I'll not be going the M&W route. I had a look at Motorworks and Motobins, Motorworks about twice the price of Motobins. Time will tell but if I have to I will go the Motobins route.
