Has anyone here tried the lower priced Eyetalian clutch friction plates from Motobins?

OEMs are 75 pounds, these are only 44.

No but; the shape, layout and securing of the friction bits is identical to the Eyetalian clutch plates I use on my Guzzis and they've never given any trouble.

Yep, got one in my OZ-based RS. Been in there since about early 2011, plenty of kilometres on it. I got because I knew I wasn't gunna change the pressure plate(s) and it did slip ever so slightly at higher revs until it matched itself to their irregular surfaces. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It's all EU specs nowadays, I expect.

Yes, there is one in my 1983 airhead.  I'd buy another.

yep …

not long after suffered gearbox input spline failure  (the splines within the clutch plate just looked over sized to me (still have the piece for reference )

more likely a heap of wet weather riding  washed the lubricant out of the splines ….but there you go

I bought Sachs for my K100RT. Much same price too.

Sachs make the plates for BMW.

Even better, BMW don't make clutch plates at all.
