The current A&S price for a 52mm fuel pump is $471.28.  I've bought quite a few entire non-running K bikes for less than that.

Was doing some poking around on Fleabay recently and ran across some Chinese knock-offs for roughly $80US shipped.

I know we each have our own political/quality opinions on buying stuff from the Chicoms but I've found that the quality on stuff I've bought from China has been quite good in recent years.

Not posting this to start a shitstorm but just to help my fellow K bike fans save a buck or two.

There are quite a few around that do the job but need some mods on the carrier so getting a direct replacement would be good. So where is the linky. The patents have expired on a lot of that Bosch stuff not that it ever stopped the Chinese from making knock-offs.

Just do a search on the OEM part number 16121451576 and several sellers will show up.

Thank you very much Duck.

How could we criticize the Chinese when BMW have them assembling their engines? Embarassed
The BMW G650s engine is assembled by Longxin Motorcycle Industry Co in China instead of Rotax in Austria, However, they are using 100% parts manufactured by Rotax in Europe.
It won't be long before some of the parts will be manufactured in China too.

Same fuel pump is used in Alfa Romeo 164, Fiat Croma, Lancias and more.

Look up 02SKV241 on eBay. Its part no is FCEFP1576 www.auto-sensors.co.uk. It is an exact fit but doesn't come with vibration damper.

I paid £50 brand new in the box delivered to UK.

Looking at replacement fuel pumps and this one still comes up as a good deal for $35 - how'd it turn out? Worth buying?

I forget which bike I put it in but whatever bike it's in is still running so no negative results to date.

I have been running a Chinese pump ($36.00 Au)from Alibaba for approximately ten months with no issues.  A few people did tell me that they had a high rate of failure. I did a bit of research and bought mine off a manufacturer, and I am very happy so far. I fitted mine before the OEM had any problems and as a precaution I have stored my OEM pump which has been cleaned, lubed and sealed in the tail of the bike.  http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,10054.msg86054.html#msg86054
Regards Martin.

I ordered a fuel pump from amazon for about $40. It is called a Highflow. Looks pretty much like the OEM pump. My pump seemed to run but did not pump out fuel. Bike has sat for 5 years so I have been putting Techron complete fuel cleaner concentrate in the bottom to hopefully bring it back to life. This was suggested by Duck and it seems to be drinking it in. If it does start working properly I'll use it as a spare. We'll see how the Highflow works once I get it.  Question

Brickrider, I believe Bosch sold production line for that older pumps to some chinese factory. My new pump was branded Pabokay and was exactly the same as original.
They source it from China as spare parts.
Happy New Year

I bought a cheap chinese pump. Worked fine for 5 minutes then seized and died.
So I bought a genuine Bosch instead, for 120€. No more issues.

That looks very much like the two I bought 6 months ago. I grabbed a pair because they were cheap and I was wary of the quality. The first one is still going like a dream
