Hey Everyone,

I’m building a cafe racer and looking for an older tank with this type of rear mounting (see pic) and no dents (color is not important) - The tank pictured is on eBay for $1,000 which is what I paid for my 1985 K1000rs, so hoping to find someone in the forum who might have a lead on a tank at a FAR lower price. Also, I’m hunting eBay, Craigslist, and OfferUp for tanks, but if there are other places I could be looking please let me know.

Can't see the pic, but $1K is taking the p!ss. You could get one from Motorworks in the UK for around a quarter of that price including P&P. Not suggesting you do.... one of the NA guys should be along to give you more useful info than this!

I have an 85 tank that's in pretty good, but not perfect, shape. I hate shipping tanks though so if you want it you'll need to come pick it up at my place near Brinnon on Hood Canal. I'm about an hour from the Kingston ferry dock.
