Welcome to the forum. The K bikes are nice bikes, if you get gremlins, check your wiring is plugged in and clean.

Yes, it's a common affliction known as K-pox.

Consider yourself doomed. Very Happy

Welcome!!!  K-Pox results in obsessive time spent perusing Craig's List and eBay.  Soon you'll have several of the nice machines and a shed full of parts.

It starts with one. Resistance is futile.

You might want to consider joining the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle group (CVMG). CVMG Web Site

I am pres of the London Section.

Welcome.

Yes, k-pox is contagious.  Once you see that others have multiple bikes, your obsession starts.  Pretty soon, you're hooked and there's no medicine that can help.  I've personally owned three over the years, plus other Brands.

The CMVG is nice but the membership is mostly Japanese-bike owners.  European marques are few and far between.

not true Rob.

The CVMG has a diverse collection of old bikes. The surprise is few Harleys.

The London section is made up of about 10% BMW bikes, lots of Japanese and lots of English then some of the more obscure brands like Nimbus. My guess is most sections follow the same distribution.

Might be true Paul and its good to know.  I'm going by what bikes and parts I see at the Paris rally and the mix of bikes at the Gormley meetups at Famous Sams.  I've attended Paris for several years and only ever saw one other K-bike, and met only one vendor with BMW K-bike paraphernalia.

I go to the Paris rally too.

My guess is that getting parts for Brits, airheads and K bikes are easy to get in comparison to Japanese bikes. There isn't the same need to scrounge used parts when you can order from Waldridge for Brits and Motobins or a Motorrad dealer for K bikes.

Getting most parts for my V65 is difficult. It is why I have collected NOS stuff for it for years.

So if we all meet up at the Paris rally that will make at least three K's in attendance - assuming of course that you don't go on your Magna Pprince and you leave the 'Guzzi at home Robmack.  What's the best day to go down?

I would love to meet up with you guys but unfortunately this year on the same weekend as Paris is the BMW MOA national rally. This will be my 5th MOA rally.
