Greeting all.
I'm new to "Brick Bikes" but not to BMW's in general.  My other bike is a 1992 R100gspd.  I've owned two other GSPD's, one R1200gs, four F650gs and one 650gs Dakar.  I've never been disapppointed in any of these bikes, as a matter of fact Id like to have most of them back.
I bought a K75rt to ride while I wrenched my other bike back into reliability.  The problem is, the k75 is soooo smooth and easy to ride, I haven't been in a large hurry to get the R100 back up and running.  I will of course, but these "Bricks" are pretty easy to get used to.
I do most all of my own wrenching, mechanical and electrical problems are just an opportunity to learn something new.
Been riding and wrenching well over 50 years, it's a great hobby I don't seen to tire of.

Welcome along CNRED.

Glad to hear that you are not disappointed with your K75. As, no doubt you have seen already, there is a huge amount of info here on the forum to help you with your wrenching activities and when you're delving onto the electrics. It's also a pretty sociable place, with good humour and banter dished out on a regular basis.

Post some pics of your K75 when you get a chance...

Enjoy

Welcome CN, a good choice in the 75.

Many years ago I went water skiing in Roosevelt Lake with friends from Tucson.  The roads around there looked pretty good but not many bikes though.  Perhaps that's changed.

Owned as many as three Bricks at one time.. I'm down to one presently.  I'm in the process of bringing back a 1990 K75s.
Bike was backed into in a driveway, ruined the front fairing parts and headlight.  Bike was then parked outside in the Arizona heat for 10 years.  Not an issue, I'm bringing it back as a Standard model.
Bike runs excellently. it's named "The Brick of Many Colors" (BOMC).  It started out dark blue. Tank was trash so I bought a tank, unfortunately it was red, had a white tail section and a green headlight shroud.
It will be all on color soon.

Welcome to the clan, CNRED.  Like you, I've had many miles on airheads.  But I have found that K-bikes are quick to win your favor... not that I plan to get rid of my beloved R100RS anytime soon.
