Thought i was on the home straight restoring a 1986 k100, just finished transplanting a final drive and resealing the oil pan. Fired it up...... and coolant starts to pee out a pin hole in one of the freeze plugs, between cyl 1 and 2!

Quick search of as cycles site and no joy, anyone have a recomendation on where to get replacements, dealer will be my last resort when they open tuesday.

As always your help is greatly appreciated.

Mike

What size is it, Mike—22mm? Could you post a photo of the leak?

Keep trying! It's got to be less messy than replacing the plug. Smile BMW 11121733403

You will need to replace all the plugs, if one has gone the others aren't far behind it.

Yes will need to do them all, i pulled the old plug out and its not pretty, a shame the clymer manual does point out the need to replace as a set but doesnt give you the sizes.

I ordered a box of 22mm ones from amazon, but will have to get the calipers out to size the other ones.
