Morning to the Forum.

I am stripping the K100RT and cannot remove the exhaust connector?

I eventually cut the silencer box off with an angle grinder but the connector remains stuck to the four exhaust pipes and I am cautious that any more force will damage the pipes.

Any suggestions?

Thank you and all the best.

Morning DMC,

Have a look at this post:

The pipes can get extremely tight in the collector but they are quite thick walled and you are unlikely to damage them by using the lever method I used. Whacking them with a large hammer, however, is likely to result in unwanted dents and dings.

Hope this helps

Good evening from Pretoria.

Thank you to Paul - The Born again eccentric.

I will make a renewed effort tomorrow based on the guidance from the guys that dealt with this problem in the past.

Utilizing the leverage method seems to me be the best and I will in addition spray some "stuff" on the surface where the pipes meet the header muffler.

Keep you posted.

Have a great evening.
