Omg had my bike 2 weeks and trouble... it's a k100rs 1986. It's been fine but 3 times today just after I filled up the throttle keeps dying? Your driving along fine and then it starts to slow down and then the engine cuts. It restarts fine and away it goes but for how long? Any pointers please? I Love this bike...😁

Many causes of a condition like this. The latest successful treatment of symptoms like this I've read consisted of disassembly and cleaning of the ignition switch but if you haven't given your bike a thorough cleaning of its major electrical plugs and checked for tight connections, inspected the battery clamps and the transmission ground connection for cleanliness and tightness, and looked into your fuel tank when its empty to be certain debris isn't collecting in it and the fuel filter isn't ancient, you might consider putting those on your schedule.

Found a broken earth wire at the end of the front brake.

Looks like that should be bolted to the underside of the master cylinder. Take a look underneath to see if you can spot a small ring terminal under the forward m/c mounting bolt.

It goes just behind the thick cable. I sorted it but my problem still exists... seems to now not want to pull above 3000 rpm in any gear...

That wire being broken can, under some circumstances, cause the throttle cable to be the earth wire and overheat the liner which can cause throttle jam or lots of slack. Check the throttle cable it may be the cause of your problems.  Also check the valve clearances as excessively tight exhaust valves can cause stalling as you close the throttle.

Fixed the broken wire made no difference. Cheers

Next time it does it, open the fuel tank and listen for a hiss as you pull the cap up. You're describing a very similar problem to the one that George_Pap had recently which turned out to be a blocked breather pipe on the forward-right underside of the tank.

I think it could be as simple as a blocked filter, either the air filter is dirty or the fuel filter is not allowing enough fuel through. I think the bike is bulletproof but the age is allowing the gremlins out to play.

Yea I agree got a new filter ckmj g this week. Change it Friday then test drive...
