um ex supercheap auto   accuracy is fairly close to standards , fairly quick reaction time also

got it cheep as they deleted the item from inventory  however there may be still some around , look in the bargain bin ,
this one took a tumble at about 110kph  on the way to Kaputar ...slid about 50 meters end over end  and a slight crack in the clear window , but still works ...omg

cost me 3.95 ...yes really ...I nearly fell over backwards ...(note blacks out when over 50 c direct sunlight  , saw that a couple of times today whilst parked )

usually the positive wind force that I have created behind the big fairing keeps the readings about atmosphere temps

but when I first got the rt ..the temps were unreal as the design sucks air from down near the motor - radiator  into the vacuum bubble  behind the windscreen , advantage in sub 20 degree temps ....but not out here , in my area at least

top display is in the device ,
lower display is a remote sensor iv located just outside the fairing lowers ....climbs pretty quick after stopping if left on side stand ...grin

I bought mine last week $9.95 C or F.  https://www.jaycar.com.au/digital-lcd-mini-thermometer/p/QM6323The road melting Digita10
Popped of the little hook thingy and velcroed  it to the dash pad. Thought it might come in handy for the fuel cooler testing. I also bought one for testing temperature sensors and whatever else I can boil or freeze $10.95. https://www.jaycar.com.au/lcd-probe-thermometer/p/QM7314

Er, just to be a bit different, went for a spin on my new steed (yes, I have turned again, at least it has a shaft), and  I had to have my heated handgrips on, but I balked at the heated seats. This is after similar temps to you guys just a couple of days ago.
I should have known, had my usual no.2 haircut mid week. Always a sign of temp drop.
Keep safe

RT, by the sound of that last post of yours you need to update your signature line and let us all into the secret of what vehicle in your possession has both heated grips and heated seat !!!!!

Cheers

Sorry to hijack this one. 2011 R1200RT. not sure if it's SE like Rickmeisters. Photo coming if I can get around to it.
48k on clock. Not sure what came over me. Maybe cleaning the crud off my Suzie's chain helped.

Maybe the desire to make the bike match the initials again?  The road melting 652573
