Hi,

I registered to forum when I bought my first BMW motorcycle in last summer, but didn't have time or patience to introduce myself.

I'm 27yr old man and live in Jyväskylä, Finland. I work in energy metering field as an project engineer.

I bought K100RS Wulf Gerstenmaier -85 from 20km away from my home. Bike haven't seen the sun in two years and it was ripped in pieces (fairing basicly), but it started nicely and sound ok and was cheap compairing to others. Gearbox sealing was leaking oil in the clutch and it needed some force to disengage.
It's sad that it's Wulf Gerstenmaier model, because I'll make it Cafe Racer anyway...but if someone want all the parts that makes it special I can sell those.

I did basic maintenance for the bike, so it would be safe to ride and chopped and welded the rear frame, made new rear fairing and changed the speedo, lights and silencer. My goal was to get few hundred kilometer of riding experience from it, so I get to know what I need to modify or repair next. I managed to ride it a little and the clutch works fine after you get it disengage first, but the brakes was dangerous bad. The brake fluid container was coated in brown slime inside and needed some brush to get rid off when I changed the brakefluid. That didn't do much because also the breakpads are worn out also. I will make topic from the whole project when I've more time. I currently don't have a garage anymore, so the project is in halt. But I'm trying to figure out some wiring and electric related problems since I can't touch the bike so much. I just made simulation of electric circuit that use logical gates to convert K100 GPI signals to work with speedo that needs +12v input signal to indicate each gear and neutral. Today I made order of components I need.
I belive Charlie had already topic of his converter so maybe I could reply my point of view there?
And if someone didn't notice yet, the english is not my native language.  Very Happy

Best regards,
Petri aka Pete

How much would you be selling the fairing for and delivery to the UK if you are willing. I've been after one for a while now.

The stuff is at warehouse, but I take good pics and try to find all parts and send pics to you and if you still think you need them we can arrange something?
