So I found a craigs ad with a semi cafe racered up K100, and the guy was looking to trade for a dual sport. The K bike wasn't running, but I'm always up for a challenge and I just happened to have a KLR250 that I rarely rode. A quick swap later and now I own a flying brick. Took me about a day to sort out and get it fired up. All the vacuum caps and lines were toast and the connector for the fuel pump wasn't making good connection. While I was tracing through everything I went ahead and redid all the grounds, and cleaned up every connector. Holy moly did it smoke when it fired. I'm not sure if my garage will every clear out. Now that I knew it ran its time to tear it apart and give it some love. Theres oil leaking out by the exhaust collector/swing arm, and I really want to route all the wires through the tubes. We'll see how it goes.
