I had a chat to Olaf the other day, he is thinking that he and Will might be coming this way for their visit in the beginning of September this year.
We have such a great time when they visit so I thought that we should share it with a wider audience. This is my proposal: Will and Olaf will probably come for a week or so, but this idea could stretch over a couple of weeks if there was interest, with people arriving and departing as they wish. We are in an ideal situation to almost guarantee the weather will be good and not too hot, and we are central to anyone who would want to come from Spain, France, UK or even Germany.
What is on offer is nothing more than an informal meet up with loads of things to do. There is no cost apart from what you eat and your campsite fees. We do the tour guiding because we want to show people this area with an insider knowledge of the best places to eat and the nice things to do, it is not a business!
There is no need to promise attendance, pay any booking fees or anything. Just come if and when you want. Those of you who have never toured France before can get together and help each other. Others are welcome to contact me for routes etc. If you want a pitch at the campsite reserved then I can do that for you, each pitch holds 3 or 4 two man tents.
If your wife/girlfriend wants to attend with you but does not fancy the ride down, then we can pick them up from Bergerac or Brive airport (in the car) for them to just do the riding around here with you. Remember though that we can't be guiding a rideout at the same time as collecting from airports, unless she is arriving with her lid on so the rideout will be to the airport!
