Nothing is street legal in France. But we are latin people.
Actually they never were imported here; One guy managed to register one monotracer.
But today it's possible to register it as a veteran, which allows it to be street legal.

I thought that Peraves CZ was out of business?

Base price of €80,000 before taxes, or any options (or in Ireland VRT etc.)

Deposit €40,000 then wait 6months for delivery.

I think I'll pass.  K75 GS conversion - Page 2 1f60e

This means possibly one or two things: are we to understand you are either not patient, or you have not the required money?

Wellll... the fact that he doesn't live that far from Murphy's Brewery might explain both. Murphy's, IMO, brew a stout that is far superior to Guinness.

I was disappointed to learn you can only get an electric version if you want new. Not that I'm in the market for one, mind. The idea of a K12 Brick engine pushing that thing along, ala Bad Boy's, intrigues. Even better, a K1300S upgrade with 170+ horsies and 103 lb-ft of torquies, but with the K12/13R lower final drive.

It might only be a stronger fire in the belly of the Peraves beast.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There were several reasons that lead to this fact:

1. BMW stopped producing the Flying Brick engine with the end of the K1200LT back in 2009. From then on, you could only get second-hand, used engines.

2. In 2009, Arnold Wagner retired from his company Peraves CH.
The new management decided to go the full electric way aka BEV, because of a) .
They participated in the X-Prize competition in 2010, achieving first and second place in their category
https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/x-prize-winner-e-tracer-powered-by-ac-propulsion-electric-drive-system/

3. The successor engine to our Flying Brick, the K1200/1300 engines were entirely different:
They had a conventional layout which meant transverse, forward leaning cylinders and left-hand side driveshaft. That new layout would have meant a complete redesign of the rear compartement of the Monotracer.

4. BMW stopped producing the K1300 engine in 2015 because it would not meet the new Euro 4 emission standarts as of Jan 1st, 2016.

5. Peraves CZ would have to meet the same emission standarts as of Jan 1st, 2016.

6. The next generation engine, the K1600 transverse inline six meeting the stricter emission standarts would not fit inside the Monotracer.

And to your second point:
Peraves CH were more than happy to meet any customer's wish.
AFAIK, some eight vehicles had a turbo grafted to the venerable Flying Brick engine, featuring up to 190 HP. Go figure.
The initial K100's components were designed to handle some 90 HP, considered more than enough back in 1985.
Increasing power is literally pushing the envelope of the whole driving train i.e. the clutch, gearbox, shaft and final drive.

Even if Wagner's latest child, the Monoracer 130E featuring some 130kW still has the first generation monolever final drive...

The biggest problem is the long final ratio that comes from a K1100LT: I wish sometimes I have a shorter 1st gear.
Maybe I'll try to transplant the OEM k75 bevel drive into the paralever case.

The K75 bevel is a good idea, as there is no difference in the low gearbox ratios there is no point changing the internals for K 75 I guess.

I did Put a K75 bevel on my K100LT a few years back and it made a great diffence to low speed riding in traffic.
