Hi just recently purchased a nice K1 so thought it would be. A useful place to start. I also have an r1200gs adventure and live in Aberdeenshire scotland.

Cheers Ian

Welcome Ian!  I dare say you have just triggered an envy attack in a fair number of the inmates here.  Please do post some pictures of your new K1.

Welcome - we like K1 pics (not too subtle hint!!) - forum sticky on how to post.

Nice roads up in Aberdeenshire for either machine.

Well wear to you as they say hereabouts.

Welcome from Ireland.

I am coming your way next month - but not on my K1.

Two of us (on K1100RS and K100RS) are spending a week touring Scotland spending one night in Aberdeen on my way to the Orkneys :-)

I am not privileged enough to go to that, so am doing my own version, plus we are going the first week of June  - not mid summer.

I am having trouble uploading pictures. Tried to follow the sticky on it the icons and format don't appear to be the same.

Been very busy since I got the bike so yesterday was the first time I have taken it out for a decent run, did about 200 mile and everything works perfectly so very happy with it.

Cheers Ian
