Hi, I was previously a member of the forum but got dropped for not posting frequently. I live in the mountains of central Colorado. I've been riding BMW's since 1974 and K bikes since 2006 in all I've ridden about 350,000 miles; about 250,000 on BMW's. During that time I had a hack on my R75/5 for a couple of years when my daughter was younger. After I removed it the bike never handled the same so I suspect that the forces transmitted to the frame were sufficient to tweak the frame slightly. So, I'm now in need of installing a hack on my K100. I saw a series of posts by Alby in 2012 on building a sub-frame and I'm hoping that he is still active on the forum or someone knows how I might get in touch with him to discuss the project.

Do a google image search on "K100 sidecar subframe" you will find some good examples.
