So here is my newly acquired K75s from 1989. Was out looking for plugs and spotted it at the back of a motorcycle repair shop. Been sitting for three years. Asked about it and they said naw nobody wants these old bikes any more and this one has a electrical fault so its going cheap .
I had a good look around it and it had full luggage and was in very good condition. had a look at the Reg book and it hadn't been on the road since 2012. So i asked the price to take off their hands. Little to say they wanted a lot . So i left them with a much lower cash offer and left my number . Got home and they phoned an accepted the offer.
Bike was delivered same day and I asked them about the electrical problem. He said the battery is done and if we try to use a jump starter it will try to start even if you don't hit the start  button. ( Seen this before )
Laughing into myself I said thats too bad ! bye bye .
So basically I removed the starter Relay and unstuck the contacts, put a new heavy duty battery and a tank of fuel , first go it started.
Gave it a good service and a clean. So I've been driving it all week and its hasn't missed a beat . Super smooth running engine and the bike in general drives really well. Needless to say Im well pleased.
So now I can drive this and get to work on my K100rs and try to solve the engine rattle in a rushed fashion. so here it i
