Welcome to the forum, you got a nice one and hope you enjoy the restoration.

Probably a good move to start a new thread and you can keep all the information together. Everyone is very helpful and we enjoy a little banter but everyone will come along with ideas and advice.

There is a section on the portal, what to do if you have just bought a K, have a read, its a good guide. Don't ever be afraid to ask a question even if you think its simple. Someone will always have an answer for you and the worst question is the one you don't ask. An unused K brings its own issues but there are well documented and sorted throughout the forum to the extent that it can save you bucket loads of $.

My LT is 92, number is 193214 and its virtually the last of them......fabulous bike though.

Photos will be nice too...

Welcome!  What model K100 do you have.  I have the '92 K100RS.  When I got it it was pretty neglected, but running ok.  These machines respond very well to a little TLC followed by miles and miles of flogging.

+1 on the new Brick article.  Don't be afraid to ask questions, some of here really have no life outside of helping to get bikes we've never seen running.

Nice purchase! We can help with your issues. there is virtually nothing about these K bike that isn't known.

If you put the frame number or at least model and year in your signature line it helps know what bike when answering questions.

I bought it from an estate sale for $530 US Very Happy  put some gas and jumper cables on it and fired right up after sitting 8 years, what other bike does that? It has road rash on one side, I'm pulling the plastic off and repainting, it is blue now but going to two tone with silver or white as the main color. Will have to post b4 and after pics!

It is a 92 K100RS as well and not much flogging that I could tell!

Dang!!! Why can't I find those deals???

Silver or white is a tough choice.  New and Blue 92...... K100 Bikes_10BMW had a pearl white that looks pretty nice.  I did my '92 RS in 2016 Ford white which also looks pretty tasty and is easy to repair.

Very nice and the lower fairing is from a K1100 which makes it even better.

Yes.... that 1100RS fairing is very sexy. I don't think we've seen that one of yours before... I didn't think you could post pictures .75

It took about an hour, and on the first try I had posted something like 6 copies of the photo in the post.

Still not real sure of how I did it.  I am such a Luddite.

Think I'll try again with my Dakar yellow 75S:
