I have a 1989 K100RS and I believe that the Reynolds hitch R-740 is the one that fits. I have a line on a Reynolds R-741 but don't know how different they are and cannot find pictures of either on the net to compare.

If I could modify the 741 that would work for me, but the difference may be so much that you could build another easier LOL

Thanks for any help you can provide

I've found no mention in several Reynolds references of an R-741.

I'm talking to a fellow that has a "741" off a later K bike and was unsure if I should pull the trigger on it. I'm new at K bikes(old Airhead guy)and am unsure when they changed stuff that would effect it  IE different sub frame ,etc.....

I text'd  him for a pic....... we will see

Might be a K1200 which has a different frame. K1100 might be ok.

Talked to a guy this morning that had a 741 and it was off a 1994 K1100 LT

He explained to me that the "foot plate was different and the 740 won't line up on the mounting and that the 741 uses a support going to the center stand mounts. I can't recall the exact conversation but it sounded like it was going to be a PITA to make it work or why else would have Reynolds changed it in the first place.-

So my case is closed and will look for a 740....... I will come across one sooner or later ( I better save my penny's as they are pricy compared to what Reynolds sold them for LOL)
