It's on again folks, the increasingly popular Black Dog Ride . 
I usually get along to the Central Coast gathering , 
but this year Smurfette and I are looking at attending the Penrith ride which finishes at the Grey Gum Cafe on the Putty Rd. 
Hope to see a few others along for the ride .

The Grey Gum Cafe provides FREE camping , amenities ( including showers), and a great cafe menu prepared onsite.
Bring a stand puck just in case ( some sandy spots ).

Like a few others , the Snowy Ride is not working in with my plans for this upcoming weekend .
So while the Krew are riding through the Alps , I will be in the city ( Sydney that is ) on Saturday , as I have some family history stuff to do in the morning . 
Whilst in town , I'm keen to get down to Blues Point Reserve at McMahons Point , to take in some great harbour views and maybe a pic .
If anyone else maybe interested in meeting up after midday ?
Catching up with Mr Klompy at some stage to Ride with the Black Dog .

Blue Mountains Folk Festival for me.  Enjoy the day guys.

Hey Ed. I may be able to make that. Going to the Throttle Roll Swap Meet with my daughter sometime over the weekend but I don't know when that is. You've got my number so text me a time and I'll see if I can make it and let you know. Would be a great opportunity to get another great shot of the two K1100's together. They haven't seen each other since this photo at Eagle Hawk Lookout just on 6 months ago .

I've been watching their page the last couple of years , it seems to be getting reasonably popular , even a few K's in there. Not for the purist at heart.

East coast of Oz is copping a bucket load again this weekend , hope the Jindabyne Krew are holding up well.

Tending to some battery ageing issues at present, but hope to be fully charged and rolling in the morning .
Klompy if you make it to the starting post , and I am not there, I will be at the Grey Gums . Take care everyone .

I think the rain has been confined mostly to the coastal regions. Copped buckets here in Sydney today. The Snowy run is about 200 to 300 klm inland. Rain radar was showing sparse and light falls across the Snowy region today. Hopefully they had a good run.

Well the rain hit again today , mostly on the coast . 
Manage to get suffient charge into what was Ol' Blue's battery . 
Started at 10.5volts yesterday arvo , by 5am this morning it had reached 13.5v, 75% charged. 
On the road by 7am , however I decided the shorter route was safer , and it was by far the more enjoyable . 
The only bike to be seen on the ride down was from the constabulary , who I was to find were assisting with a stall at the Black Dog Ride.
Road surface was still wet from an earlier passing shower, but my wet weather gear remained dry for the day .
From what I heard , the Sydney riders received a hammering by the rain just 10km south of the Grey Gums, which reduced the arrival of riders to 175 . 
It was still good to see the perseverence and support to such a good cause.
