Hi Inge & all
I decided to get a secondhand seat to tie me over while I had my own recovered.
All ok so far, seat arrived in good condition and I proceeded to fit.
Problem turned out to be lower rear mountings and the front one was slightly different also

My seat has the numbers in white 2323318 4113 and on the base 52.53-2 309.860 A

Replacement has in white 2324048 1233 and 52-53-2.307.589

not a lot I can do except return it and hope they can supply correct one for my K, but wonder which machine the one I received is off ?

Over to the expert (s)

;-)
adios
Rod

Just put the part numbers into the box on the realoem website and it will tell you exactly what models each part number is for.

Is there any chance you can just swap the hinges from the old seat to the new?

Problem solved...hopefully

Hi All,
So it seems my seat was current up to 03/1993 and then BMW moved to a rubber mounted bracket
The individual seat mouldings are quite different so I really do need the correct bracket.

In any case Motorworks have come up trumps, and are forwarding the appropriate brackets as I type.
That saves me (and them) time and money sending the seat back etc etc

So all things being equal I'll have her up and running by the weekend

adios
