Have donated and registered for Newcastle but have social commitment on Sunday arvo so will join Nigel at Sydney Uni...RossKKo's bike on display and for sale...hope to get some pictures.

I'm sure you will get some lookers if you have a 'For Sale' sign on it KKKlompy but keep in mind, DGR is primarily a Cafe Club event so I think most will be looking at it with a mind to chopping it up. The up side is they don't mind what the pay. I met a guy today who's Kafe-ing an '86 K100RS in great condition. He paid $4k

There are plenty of willing and sad K100's loitering in numerous garages, sheds and backyards so its a real shame for a tasty RS to be reduced..it would be like stripping down your pristine sweet K100RT....

Anyhow should be a good day weather permitting...look for the RossKKo K with a large man wearing tails and a bow tie..

We have some runs in Eccentric land tomorrow too!!!.

Sydney DGR yesterday was a blast. There were around 750 bikes, many of the great super machines of the past. They let groups of 25 out every few minutes so as not to clog the city streets. Even so we managed to disrupt a bit of traffic and the roar and sight of hundreds of bikes cruising thru the city and over the Harbour Bridge drew the attention of many bystanders along the way. Lots of horn honking and waving as spectators got in on the action as well.

KKKlompy and my daughter and I turned up fairly early and had a good poll position. My daughter was riding with her M/C group, The Foxy Fuelers.

K-bikes were well represented on the run but as you can guess all of them except for mine and KKKlompy's, were cafe racers. One or two were quite well executed (see pics).

There was rain earlier in the morning and I think KKKlompy got his 'tails' a little wet on the ride in from Richmond. Fortunately the rain cleared for the run. It was great to see such an eclectic collection of bikes and chat with a few of their owners. The experience of riding thru the city and over the Harbour Bridge with such a large group was awesome. Will definitely do this again next year.



Our two Ks and my daughter's Zephyr 550

I was heading out towards the I-5 yesterday arvo on just another semi-boring errand run and noticed a 'well dressed gentleman', wearing suit jacket, tie, goggles and sporting the obligatory shoulder bag, looking all schmick and slick, coming towards me on a late-model Bonnie with clubmans. 'Doh!', said I as I remembered that I'd forgotten about it, too late.

I did the Halifax ride and it was a lot of fun too. It was certainly on a smaller scale than the Sydney ride, as it was only 36 people registered.
Temperature was only 6 degrees and I decided to trade the suit for a leather jacket and dressy pants. Long johns and biking shorts fitted well under the slacks .
I was the only one with a K bike.

Fantastic Bert. Maybe we can aim to get a few more K-Bikers involved with their local DGR next year.
