I'm a 50 year+ rider, retired with old bikes spread across the country. USA that is. In HI I have a Honda shadow and an xr600, in Tn, I keep a '87 K100rs, a Buell Cyclone, an Enfield 500 and a Suzuki TU250. In Vegas I have pair of ATK dual sports, one a 605ds and the other a 350es. It's a lot of bikes but they are so different that it's a treat to ride them. My BMW recently left me stranded, so I come to this forum with my hat in my hand looking for help. I love fuel injection until I don't then I love carbs. Thanks for having me here.

Welcome aboard.

An interesting collection of bikes scattered across several states. Sounds like the makings of a complicated life!

I just came back from a vacation to Hawaii - but sadly, didn't get a chance to ride as I had my daughters in tow. Still got to see quite a lot of those fabulous (but expensive) islands (Big Island, Maui and Ohau) by car. Maybe one day I'll get back and rent a bike to really get to see them properly?

Sorry to hear your RS let you down - you should be able to find the help you need either through a direct question or using the search facility to access the wealth of previous posts on pretty much every subject. In my short experience, I know that they like to be ridden and if left sitting for prolonged periods, they can be prone to sulking and misbehaving. If you spend most if your time in Hawaii - get her on the next ship and treat her right.

The only thing I didn't like about Hawaii was the pathetic speed limits...

Enjoy

Paul, Paul, Paul,

So close, yet so far.  All you had to do was leave the girls for a couple of days, catch a direct flight from Hawaii to Brisbane and you had your choice of K bikes to ride.

Soooooooo disappointing   New member intro. 177381

Sorry Dave....poor show, I know!

But after travelling 27 hours from home to hotel, I really didn't fancy another 12+ hour flight to get to the Really Big Island! I figure that having gone east to Sydney in April and west to Hawaii in July, I'd crossed 86% of the world this year (not quite a Philias Fogg). I also dread to think what the hotel/credit card bill would have looked like if I left the girls alone for a few days!
