I tried to put Racer Warehouse fuel line quick disconnects (QD) on my 85K100RT, wasn't real comfortable with their positioning.  Very short tubes from the fuel rail and tank to the connector in between.  And then the line from the Fuel Pressure Regulator to the forward spigot is a tight fit already as it bends over the intake, and the addition of the QD created some undesirable potential issues.

Does anyone have pictures of their QDs in place on a K100RT?

Any rerouting options?

Taking off the tank is always a PITA after the lines have been baked in place.  I would appreciate any advice and especially pictures of a viable setup option for the fuel lines and QD on a K100RT.

To remove the fuel tank you only need 2 quick release fittings and these are placed on the two lines below the front left of the tank as far as I can figure. The front pipe is easy as its almost straight. The rear one on mine has a curve to go in behind the air box to the fuel pressure regulator and I figure fitting it after the start of the curve but positioned so you can reach it. I haven't fitted them yet but would like them located so the lower fairing panel on RT/LT does not need to be removed for access.

There is no need to one between the fuel pressure regulator and the rear of the injector rail, as you have found its not likely to fit anyway.

Also recommend used new fuel liens when you are doing it.

Thanks for the reply.  I understand the front pipe is a straight shot and have actually put the QD in that hose and then removed it due to the short run in on both the upper and lower tube (from rail to tank).  It seemed that the short run in would reduce the flow (reducing the diameter of the line due to the QD diameter being smaller) for nearly the entire six inch (?) section.

The "rear one" as you've stated IS the one I'm having difficulty with.  The bend after coming over the air box seemed to create a kink.  And if I placed the QD further back on the line the QD would need to squeeze between the frame and the air box which seemed a sub-optimal configuration.  It would be good to see some pictures of a setup with the QDs in place.

I don't have a QD on the line to the rear of the rail to the FPR.

All new fuel lines have been installed.  Thanks for the reply. Maybe we can both get a good picture of how these can be installed.

If you make the rear fuel line long enough, you can get it to cross between the front injector spigot and the frame (same route as is taken by the wire to the tempreature sensor). It's a squeeze fit but it does do away with the kink you're worried about and gives you the room to fit a QD.
