I'm having real trouble opening the bottom screw (8mm allen head) in the K1100rs fork to dismantle it for new seals.
I'm guessing it's oxidized aluminium holding it in and so far I've tried heating the slider around the bolt gentle and sticking a welding rod to the bolt to heat it, In the hope of a bit of thermal shock breaking the grip...nothing. I've just wrung off an extension bar on the hex socket trying to open it and still no budge. Penetrating oil can't get past the O ring I guess so I'm deviod of ideas....any suggestions please forum Gurus?
