Hi there everyone, 29 year old dude from Sweden who bought a K100LT 1991 year model september 2015, been driving bikes since i was 22 and i always appreciated BMW bikes and always wanted to make a cafe conversion of one. Now i know there are a lot of K lovers who think the bike is excellent in its stock condition and i agree with that but i've decided to rebuild mine to a cafe racer, hopefully the members of this community will respect my choice and not comment on how i have ruined the bike =)

I've decided for the K100 because the price was good and it is known for being a  reliable, sturdy and indestructible bike, looking at other brands for the cafe racer conversion the BMW K100 was a natural choice with its brembo brakes, bosch electronics and its big front forks. I bought mine for approximately 1300 euros (13500SEK).

The build is almost done and pictures will be coming up, just dont know if i should post them here or in another thread.

Looking forward to browsing around this forum and hopefully learn a lot of new stuff regarding this bike and maybe even get some of my own future questions answered. You'll have to excuse if my english is a little bit sloppy but after all it is not my mother tounge.

Best regards,

The Swede

Hej och Valkommen!

Nice little café bike but that loop of fuel pipe off the side is a bit disconcerting to me! It sure is handy for moving the tank but a set of quick couplings (metal not plastic) work well and are neater.

Good luck with it, enjoy the Forum !
