Hi All,

I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Dave, a middle aged happy father of 2 where we all live on the lovely Isle of Wight - for those who don't know it, it's the small little blob that sits of the bottom of England. So you can see why I need a K100 to drive around this little place!!!

Will try and add a picture of the K100 - this is a 1984 RS model and is a dream to ride!

Also in the stable at present is a Suzuki GS (X) 750 ET 1979 model and enough bits that I can no longer identify!!

Looking forward to being part of your forum!! Very Happy

Welcome DaveP

A K on the Isle Of Wight (IOW)?

Biggest problem with K's is that they often encourage you take the long way round to anywhere and a simple ride to the local shops becomes a 300 mile pleasure Kruise. On the IOW, that'll mean that you will go round the island about 5 times and that increases the chance that your wife/partner and/or kids will catch you having fun!

Plenty of good riding nearby on the mainland too, just a short ferry ride away - and at least the ferry fare for a bike is not quite as extortionate as it is for a car. Apart from complicating travel plans a little, islands aren't bad places - theres's quite a nice emerald green island a little way to the North West of you and a somewhat bigger island down under, to the South East of you, if you are feeling a even more adventurous. I can whole heartedly recommend both!

Enjoy the "new" bike, plenty of tech help, wit and repartee hereabouts to help you on your journey.
